President of Mansoura University Meets with Self-Study Team to Renew National Quality Assurance Accreditation

On Wednesday 26th March 2025, Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University, held a meeting with the university's self-study preparation team which formed by a decision from the University Council.

The meeting served to announce the official commencement of preparations for the 2025 - 2026 self-study in anticipation of renewing the university’s overall institutional accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) for the second time.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Nisreen Shalaby - Director of the Quality Assurance center, and the center’s deputy directors, Prof. Dr. Fatma El-Zahraa El-Gohary and Prof. Dr. Amir Shaalan, along with the self-study team members comprising elite faculty and administrative quality experts.

At the beginning of the meeting, the University President welcomed the team and offered congratulations on the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

Dr. Khater emphasized Mansoura University’s leadership as the first Egyptian public university to receive NAQAAE accreditation. He noted that the university possesses the necessary academic, organizational, and administrative infrastructure according to internal policies, financial resources, and a distinguished faculty committed to quality standards. This excellence in education and research has secured the university a leading position both nationally and internationally.

The President outlined the team’s primary tasks which include, preparing a self-study that fulfills NAQAAE accreditation standards, analyzing the current status and assessing achievements since the initial 2022 accreditation.

Dr. Sherif Khater emphasized that the self-study must be characterized by analytical accuracy and transparency, incorporating objective KPI's to reinforce strengths and implement necessary improvements. He also stressed the importance of adhering to the designated timeline for completion, wishing the team success in accomplishing this mission in a manner that reflects the university’s prestige and leadership.

It is worth noting that the self-study preparation team covers all the standards  required for its completion which are, Strategic Planning, Leadership and Governance, Administrative Body, Financial Resources, Faculty stuff  Members, Students and postgraduates, Education, Scientific Research, Social Responsibility, Quality Management.

It is also noted that Mansoura University has achieved remarkable progress in prestigious international rankings, leading the list of Egyptian universities and ranking among the top universities in the Arab world and Africa.

Furthermore, the university has secured the highest number of Government Excellence Awards. It also holds the distinction of being the first Egyptian public university to receive accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).

Ten faculties have already received accreditation, and the university has successfully secured both institutional and programmatic accreditation for many of its academic tracks and a plan is being implemented to complete the accreditation process for the remaining faculties and programs to be qualified for the renewal of its full institutional accreditation.
