Workshop Titled: "The Student's Role in the Quality System and Obtaining Accreditation"

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi - Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and in light of the university's keenness to spread the culture of quality among students, a workshop was held titled "The Student's Role in the Quality System and Obtaining Accreditation." The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Nisreen Shalaby-  Director of Mansoura University Quality Assurance Center,  at the university's summer camp for the 2025 season in Gamasa. It was organized by Mr. Ahmed El-Ashry- General Director of Youth Welfare in the presence of Eng. Manal Youssef -  Secretary of the Center and the center’s work team.

The workshop covered an explanation of the concepts of quality and accreditation and an introduction to the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). It is the independent entity responsible for granting academic accreditation to all educational institutions within Egypt which facilitates international accreditation and the internationalization of the university in accordance with Egypt Vision 2030.

The workshop also addressed the accreditation standards for programs faculties and the university. Emphasis was placed on the student's active role in obtaining accreditation through the necessity of understanding the objectives of the program they are studying and its included courses. It highlighted the importance of reviewing the student handbook available on all faculty websites, the community services provided by each faculty and engagement in student activities to help build personality. Furthermore it stressed communication with quality units in faculties and the importance of responding to various surveys to contribute their opinions to performance improvement and the development of enhancement plans. The workshop also noted the importance of following the websites of the Quality Assurance Center and the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education to stay informed about updates and modern publications periodically.
